Hi, I'm Rubie - the founder of Lioness and Cubs.
I'm a Level 3 Pre and Post Natal qualified trainer with over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry and I've had the pleasure of working with hundreds of women throughout their fitness journeys. Being a mother myself, I know first hand the physical and emotional changes that come with pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and motherhood beyond.
Lioness and Cubs was built on one powerful belief: mums are incredibly strong - sometimes they just need reminding.
Your first class is free when using the code WELCOME
It depends on where you are in your journey. The Growing Lioness is for you if you're currently pregnant. Restore the Lioness is designed for the early postnatal period — from 6 weeks up to 12 months after birth. Mums & Cubs is for mums whose little ones are aged 1–3 years old and who want to continue building strength while bringing their toddler along. Not sure? Just get in touch and Rubie will help you find the best fit.
Yes — your very first class is completely free, no strings attached. Just use the code WELCOME when booking. It's a chance to try the session, meet Rubie, and see if it feels right for you before committing to anything. After that, classes are £12 each (£10 for Mums & Cubs), or you can save with a block booking of four classes.
You're welcome to join The Growing Lioness at any stage of pregnancy. For Restore the Lioness, we recommend waiting until at least 6 weeks postpartum and getting clearance from your GP or midwife first. Mums & Cubs is open to mums with toddlers aged 1–3 years.
Yes! Babies are welcome in Restore the Lioness — they can lie on a mat beside you or sit in a bouncer while you exercise. Mums & Cubs is specifically designed for mums with toddlers aged 1–3, so little ones can stay close by, play alongside you, or even join in parts of the workout. The environment is relaxed and understanding — no pressure if they need attention mid-session.
All fitness levels are welcome. Classes are designed to be adapted to you — whether you're a seasoned gym-goer or this is your very first fitness class, you'll feel right at home. Rubie has over 10 years of experience working with women at every fitness level.
Just bring a yoga mat, a water bottle, and comfortable clothes you can move in. If you don't have a mat yet, just let Rubie know and she'll sort you out.
Yes — the venue at 2nd Horsham Scout Group is wheelchair and pram accessible, with excellent toilet facilities and heated floors. There's a free on-site car park, plus unrestricted street parking nearby, so getting there with a pram or baby kit is straightforward.
